It helps in character development, independence, increases responsibility and likewise. Activities outside the classroom give wings to students’ imagination and enhance their thought process. Samvad

Cambridge School Greater Noida held the fourth edition of its prestigious annual Youth Parliament ‘SAMVAD 2019’ in the school premises on 15th and 16th October 2019. This year, the conference brought together 160 student delegates from 10 schools across the NCR with the intent of developing in them leadership qualities of intellectual depth and communication dexterity in the true spirit of democracy and integrity.

The magic of SAMVAD prevailed through committees such as Lok Sabha, All India Political Parties Meet and Stakeholder’s Meet which focused on the following agendas – ‘New Education Policy 2019’, ‘National Security Policy, with emphasis on cross border terrorism’, and ‘Agrarian crisis and Food Security in India’ respectively.

Intense debate prevailed in each of the committees. The knowledgeable and impassioned young delegates came up with innovative ideas to deal with the different agendas.

His Excellency Mr. Daniel Chuburu – Ambassador of Argentina who was the Chief Guest, encouraged all students to be politically conscious citizens of the country. He urged them to have a clear understanding of the functioning of the government, to be able to lead the country on the path of betterment.

Eminent keynote speakers who graced the event were Major General G.D. Bakshi SM, VSM; Mr Maneesh Garg, Joint Secretary in HRD Ministry, Dr. Shakila Shamshu, OSD, MHRD, and award-winning journalist Ms. Gargi Parsai. They enlightened the young minds about cross-border terrorism concerns, the emergent new education policy and realities of the agrarian crisis affecting our farm sector.

At the Valedictory Function, Mr. Anil Trigunayat, former Ambassador of India, and Mr Martin Via, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Argentina’s Embassy in New Delhi conferred prizes to the winning delegates and motivated all the participants to build a better nation by becoming responsible citizens of the country.

Esteemed members of the Cambridge School management Mrs. Veena Sirohi, Mrs Neeru Biswas, Mr M.M. Sharma and Mr Indranil Gupta added dignity and encouragement to the forum with their presence.

Celebration of Founder's Day

Founder`s Day was celebrated at CSGN for the first time with zeal and enthusiasm on 7th April 2022. Mr. Indranil Gupta, the School Manager, was the chief guest for the event. A special assembly was organized by the students of class XII A wherein the documentary on Cambridge schools was presented along with a cultural program.

Mr. Gupta had engaged the students in an interactive quiz competition about the school, its founder, his vision and school’s values which were truly insightful even for the teachers. To commemorate the 92 years of the institution of Cambridge schools for imparting quality education to learners, saplings equivalent in number were planted and some bird feeders were hung by the students of Class V to respect the symbiotic association of all life forms on the earth.

Fitness is the means for an all-round development and a salubrious life. Keeping this Guru Mantra in mind, CSGN organized the NCC Camp in the school premises from 13 th June to 22 nd June 2022. This camp was combined, Annual Training NCC camp – 129, there was an overwhelming participation of 30 schools, including 550 girl cadets carrying out various activities.

The activities namely, Sat Sat Naman Program, drill, map reading, weapon training, sports activities like Football, Volleyball, Kho Kho, tug of war, shooting, lectures, etc.; were featured on a regular basis. Entertainment activities like dance, quiz and debate were also conducted during this period. Cambridge School girls’ cadets 31 UP(G) BN NCC Greater Noida participated in various competitions and were among the price winners in many events. Other schools whole heartedly participated in various activities with great brotherhood and team spirit.

On the last day of the camp, the cultural activities were conducted as the grand finale along with prize distribution for competitions. Brigadier Neelish Banoat and Col. Rajeev Sharma the Principal Mrs. Snehlata Krishnan encouraged all the cadets and commended them for showing exuberance and enthusiasm in their participation in the camp. The cadets who were felicitated, were as follows-

International Yoga Day

Like every year since 2014, International Yoga Day is celebrated in the premises of Cambridge School Greater Noida on 21st June 2022 with much fervour.

The event turned out to be successful as the energy and rhythm of more than 750 students practicing yoga, along with their parents and teachers, charged the atmosphere of the school. The event was facilitated by the able Yoga practitioner Mr. Rajneesh Sharma. The students learned the basics of yogic breathing and many asanas.

The chief guest for the event was Mr D.K. Sharma, secretary general of National Yoga Sports Federation (NYSF). He praised the students for their active participation and encouraged them to adopt Yoga practice in life. In his address, Mr. Sharma told the students that Yoga is an ascetic discipline which is practiced for good health and relaxation. He also highlighted the significance of developing a strong sense of values as well as the importance of goal-setting in our life.

The event ended with a vote of thanks from the Principal Mrs. Snehlata Krishnan
